Antelope Valley Community Clinic grew from a local effort to address gaps in care for uninsured and underinsured residents. Community organizations, residents, health professionals and public agencies helped shape a clinic model rooted in the needs of Lancaster, Palmdale and the surrounding Antelope Valley.
Our Purpose
Antelope Valley Community Clinic's mission is to enhance community well-being through comprehensive health care, prevention and education, with particular attention to medically underserved and low-income populations.
The clinic's work brought primary care, dental services, mental health, specialty support and community outreach into a connected model. The aim was to give people an ongoing point of contact for health needs, rather than relying only on care during a crisis.
Care Close to the Community
Care-A-Van mobile services helped establish an early presence in the community. Fixed clinic locations and adult day health programs later broadened that approach. Prevention, education and coordination remained central themes as the clinic developed.
