Antelope Valley Community Clinic

Preparing for a Telehealth Visit

Make the setup simple so you can focus on the conversation.

Check the Appointment Instructions

Confirm the time, connection method and contact number for help. Follow the clinic's instructions about any sign-in or forms. Ask in advance about captions, interpretation or other communication support.

Set Up Your Space

Choose a private, quiet place. Test the camera and sound, charge the device and position it where it can remain steady. Good lighting helps the clinician see you clearly. Keep the connection instructions and office number available in case the call is interrupted.

Prepare Your Information

Have a list of medicines, allergies and questions nearby. Ask how follow-up instructions will be provided and whether an in-person assessment may be needed.

If the connection fails, contact the office rather than moving to an unverified link or account. For urgent or emergency symptoms, use the appropriate urgent or emergency service instead of waiting for a video connection.
